REGISTRATION

  1. "I have just registered my domain name but it still does not work. Why ?" It needs 12 to 72 hours for DNS information concerning domain names be propagated over all the world.
  2. "I made a typing error while recording my domain name . How can I cancel my registration ?" You cannot cancel a domain name after registration.
  3. "The domain name I was looking for is unavailable but the WHOIS shows a expiry date exceeded. Why cannot I register a domain name if it has already expired ? " The registrars are not held to release domain names after the expiry date. Some registrars release their domain names a few minutes after the expiry and others a few days after later or even several months. No rule of the ICANN (http://www.ICANN.org) specifies the time limit for the registrars release the domain names after expiry. Each registrar can thus apply its own policy. We release domain names 35 to 40 days after expiry date.
  4. "When I want to register a domain name your system answers TLD not managed. Why ? " This message appears because you try to register a domain name with a extension we do not handle. Authorised gTLDs and ccTLDs are : .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .name, .cc, .nu, .bz, .fr, .it, .mc and .aero.
  5. "Do you sell the Email forwarding service with .NAME ? " Yes. We think that the main interest of the .NAME registration is this mail forwarding. You will be able, on your management panel, to register only this service without the domain name on the form lastname@firstname.name or firstname@lastname.name
  6. "During my .INFO and .BIZ registration you do not give the AUTH-CODE of the domain names. Why ? " For security purpose we do not send this information after the registration. To obtain the AUTH-CODE send us your request by FAX (+377 97 97 21 13) with a copy of registrant's id such as a driver licence and/or a stamped firm letter. Then we will send you your AUTH-CODE by email.
  7. "I register some hours ago domain names in .FR .IT .MC but i can't see them on my management panel. Why ?" Domain names .FR .MC .IT are subjected to certain regulations of the NIC operators.
    - For .FR provide us with the : "lettre d'engagement" by FAX to +377 97 97 21 13
    - For .MC provide us with the : "formulaire de propriété" as well as the extract of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Monaco edited in the last 3 months by FAX (+377 97 97 21 13).
    - For a .IT provide us with the : LAR by fAX to +39 0240933540

MODIFICATION

  1. "I want to modify the DNS (name server) of my domain name. What should i do ?" Connect as the administrative contact to your management panel and click on :
    Manage domain > modify > select the domain name + modify the name server > enter the new DNS + modify. It take 12 to 72 hours for the new information being propagated.

RENEW

  1. "When can I renew a domain name ? " You may renew your domain name at any moment during its existence. The only rule is that the expiry date cannot exceed 10 years.
  2. "I want to renew a domain name registered with Namebay but I do not own it. How can I do ? " You must create a contact ID. Once you it is done, connect to the manegement panel and by using the renew domain link of the management domain menu, you will be able to do it.
  3. "I have receive an email from you asking me to renew my domain name but I don't want to do so. What should I do ? " Nothing. Just do not reply to our email. Do not renew the domain name. This one will be released 40 days after its expiry date.
  4. "May I automatically renew my domain names ?" This project is under consideration, please contact us.

TRANSFERS

  1. "We are currently trying to transfer our domain names towards Namebay. Some of these transfers are in Waiting for administrative answer or were refused by the Actual Registrar. How to start again the transfer without having to pay again? " A transfer is valid 3 months. During this period you may via your management panel, menu state of registrar transfer, to send yourself the request of confirmation to the administrative contacts or to the registrar.
  2. "Administrative contact refused the transfer. What can i do now ?" You may send us by FAX (+377 97 97 21 13) the owner agreement(you will find it in the legal dowument). However the loser registrar can also require a confirmation of the administrative contact. In this case please contact the current registrar to know their procedure of outgoing transfer.
  3. "Administrative email address is no more valid. What should i do ?" You may send us by FAX (+377 97 97 21 13) the owner agreement(you will find it in the legal dowument).   4. "I would liked to know how the transfer of registrar is held with regard to the emails. Infatti difficilmente posso non avere delle emails on my domain name. Then I liked to know if the tranfert is done quickly and without effect on my email accounts. " If you do not ask us to change your DNS server during the transfer you will not lost your email. If you ask us to change it you will have to inform your previous email provider to keep your account for some days, during the time of the transfer.
  5. "What is it a registrant transfer? " A registrant transfer is needed to change the ownership of a domain name. (For example if a firm change name or if the domain is sell to another company or individual)
  6. "Can I modify registrant during the registrar transfer of my domain name ? " Not and this for reasons of safety (cybersquatting).
  7. "How may I do a registrant transfer ?" You must do it by you management panel.
